Finding where your "great love meets the world’s great need” is the purpose of the Pathways to Mission and Vocation project. Pathways encourages theological reflection at that place where your chosen vocation and your Christian faith meet. Programs like the Summer Dreaming Grants, Ministry Inquiry Program and Ministry Scholars enable the exploration of Christian vocation in a variety of contexts.
The Summer Dreaming Grant gives you a break from wage work for part of the summer to create an experience that allows you to consider new vocational possibilities. This is an opportunity for you to dream a little! The Karl Schultz Summer Discovery Grant provides support for Pathways Summer Dreaming Grants. Application deadline is March 16, 2009.
The Pathways to Ministry Scholarship is intended to encourage you to consider the pastoral call to ministry during your sophomore year and receive a $1,000 scholarship. Recipients will be expected to participate in a number of events that will assist in the process of discerning God's call on your life. Application deadline is Feb. 27, 2009.
The Ministry Inquiry Program gives you the opportunity to experience first-hand what ministry is for 11 weeks in the summer. Working under the supervision of an experienced pastor, you will be involved in many aspects of a minister's life and work. A scholarship is then given towards fall tuition.
