Alumni Awards

Exceptional Bluffton University alumni and former faculty/staff are honored each year during the Alumni Awards banquet held Friday evening of Homecoming weekend.

Jean Hoover Triplett '47
Decades of service to the Village of Bluffton, the Presbyterian Church on a national level and the Bluffton campus
 

 
Professional Achievement Award

Dr. Julie Heath '78
Director of the Center for Economics at University of Cincinnati
 

 
Outstanding Young Alumnus Award

Emelia Hostetler Brown '04
Director of the Spartan Child Development Center in East Lansing, Mich.
 

 
Faculty/Staff Service Award

Christine Purves
Served at Bluffton from 1958-72 as an instructor of music, speech and as Marbeck Center program director. She is being honored for her service, especially in the areas of music, athletics and recreation.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 
Nominations

The Alumni Association officers rely on nominations from alumni and friends when making selections for Alumni Awards and the Athletics Hall of Fame inductions. There are no limitations on the number of nominations an individual may make. For each person nominated, please include a copy of the nomination form. Also, include a separate page detailing specific information that you feel qualifies the nominee for the award. Return all information by mail to Alumni Office, Bluffton University, 1 University Drive, Bluffton OH 45817-2104 or by fax to 419-358-3232. Nominations will be kept on file and reviewed annually for three years.
