Director of Choral Activities

Full-time, tenure-track position 

QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctorate preferred (ABD considered) in choral conducting. Demonstrate excellence in college level teaching. Elementary or secondary music teaching experience is desirable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide leadership for a choral program that includes a mixed concert choir, a college/community oratorio choir and Camerata Singers (a select touring chamber choir). Teach undergraduate courses in choral methods/literature and choral conducting. Actively recruit students to increase the number of majors and students in the existing ensembles. Advise students. May teach in related areas such as applied music, music education, music theory and aural skills, or music history according to areas of expertise. Possibly serve as music director of spring musical. 

COMPENSATION:
Commensurate with education and experience within the university pay scale.
